ILMA 2017 meeting at LENA
ILMA Research Group Meeting from 13 to 14 June 2017 in Magdeburg:
The meeting is regular in an annual base which is held between the university of OVGU and Technical university of ILMENAU in partnership with Fraunhofer Institutes from ILMENAU and Magdeburg. The two days meeting is intended to exhibit and disclose research works in the group so that it will enhance the research projects undergoing within the parties.The meeting has officially started on June 13, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the university of Magdeburg represented by LENA with the opening speech of Prof. Dr.-Ing. M. Wolter followed by Prof. Westermann’s greeting speech. After warm welcome and announcement of the two days’ agenda, all the participants were able to introduce each other and get to know new faces in the research group.Then it was followed by presentations and discussions on the following two research works respectively before the lunch break at the university’s canteen.

- Investigation of stability phenomena in inverter-dominated distribution networks by T. Jiang
In the afternoon session, the presentation was continued on the following two research works before the conclusion was given by Prof. Wolter and Prof. Westermann.
- SGEEES storage strategies and experiences by S. Balischewski
- Hierarchical memory management; Intelligent preprocessing and error detection with PMU by A. Kummerow
As an evening event a canoe-trip of about 7 kilometers up and down in the Elbe river followed with a marvelous barbecue event at the boat house was shared out to enhance the social networks of the participants.On day-two, a tour to Fraunhofer IFF's large battery store was held next to the laboratories visit of HGÜ and fuel cell at LENA. The second day research presentations and discussions, held at the Fraunhofer institute for factory Operation and Automation, was on the following titles.
- Optimization in the energy industry under uncertainties by S. Naumann
- Agent-based energy management by P. Trojan
- REGEES - Optimal horizontal routing by P. Lombardi
- Detection of active circuit flows in the AC network with PSTs and HVDC-P2P connections by M. Wolfram
The two days’ research conference was successfully completed and closing remarks were given by Prof. Wolter and Prof. Westermann before the final-event for lunch time at the university Canteen.
