2nd SmartMES Statusmeeting
As last year, a closing of the second project year of SmartMES a Statusmeeting was held at the Lukasklause on 04 April. At the meeting the Statusband was presented, which summarizes the project results.
In front of invited guest of the regional politics, industry representatives and staff and students from the university the project team consisting of staff from the LENA, IVT and LTT presented the results. In several presentations the project team showed selected topics of the project, whereas Prof. Wolter moderated the meeting throughout the day.
Mr. Christian Klabunde presented the potential and challenges of a coupling to reduce grid congestions in the low voltage electricity grid. Mr. Jari Roßberg showed in detail the technology Power-to-Gas and Gas-to-Power, whereas Dr.-Ing Florian Schulz presented an application of Power-to-Cold using building 16 of the OvGU as an example. Mr. Jonte Dancker compared different application scenarios of an integrated energy system within an energy cell. Ms. Tamara Schröter presented an incentive system, which was developed within the last year. With this system the research teams want to investigate the impact of different incentives on the economics of an integrated energy system. Ms. Nicola Gast displayed the sustainability of an energy system integrating the energy vectors electricity, gas and heat. Besides the project team, Mr. Elias Dannenberg presented current Power-to-Gas research project of the DBI group. Along with the presentations questions of the guests were discussed and suggestions were picked up and will be included in the further work. The meeting ended with lunch and ongoing discussions in smaller groups in relaxed atmosphere.
The project team would like to thank all guests for the vivid discussion and suggestions and is looking forward to the next Statusmeeting in 2020.
