ISGT 2018
In 2018, IEEE ISGT Europe will be organized in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ISGT Europe 2018 is the 8th IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference sponsored by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES). It focuses on industrial and manufacturing theory and applications for the wide use of information and communication technologies and integrated renewable and distributed energy resources on the electric grid.
The PhD student Eric Glende from the chair of Electric Power Networks and Renewable Energy of the Otto-von-Guericke University Mgdeburg was present. He presented a paper with the titel "Communication Infrastructure for Dynamic Grid Control Center with a Hardware-in-the-Loop Model" at a poster session. A lot of other German universities but also from other European countries were represented by PhD students and Professors so that it was a great oppertunity to talk about State of the Art research topics. Furthermore, there were a lot of representitives from the industry, like Siemens, Réseau de Transport d’Electricité France (RTE) and many other.
Some events gave the participants an understanding of the local history in the city hall and the national museum and of the traditional food in a local brewery.
