LENA at Dresdener Kreis 2019
The 20th Dresdner Kreis took place in Hannover on the 27th and 28th of March. The goal of the conference is to have an exchange with other universities and to receive suggestions for their own field of research. In addition to the LENA chair, chairs of the universities in Duisburg, Dresden and Hanover are represented at the Dresdner Kreis.
After short refreshment, the lectures began. Each institution provided two speakers. They presented their topics in front of the 30 participants. Nicola Gast presented her work at the control room in the OvGU with the lecture "Development of Systems Management Concepts on a Technical Scale" in the first session, with the focus on building the communication via the established protocol IEC 60870-5-104 between Matlab and the control room. With an extensive outlook on further projects with the system, Mrs. Gast finished her presentation.
Sebastian Helm represented the LENA chair in the second session. With the lecture "Potential Analysis of BEV for the Implementation of V2G Applications", he gave an outlook on possible applications of electric vehicles to stabilize the electric grid. He presented a simulation model of an electric vehicle and showed the potential power in the area of 50Hertz.
In the evening an Italian meal closed the informative day. The next day before the journey home the participants from the Dresdner Kreis took part in an excursion to the VW plant in Hanover. In addition to the control room and the gas and water supply of the plant, VW gave an extensive insight into the production lines of the models of the "T-series" and the pickup "Amarok". 1,000 individual produced vehicles leave the plant every day. The impressive production line was an excellent conclusion of the educational journey.
The Chair LENA is grateful for the great and highly interesting 20th anniversary of the Dresdner Kreis.
